I am a 20-year-old African-American male born and raised in the ghetto of St. Louis. I graduated from Jennings Senior High School, where I was a three-sport athlete (football, basketball and baseball) and received a lot of local attention for it. I dealt with a lot of stuff because of my skin color, on and off the field.

Growing up being a black male has a lot of challenges to it; you get judged and stereotyped. Still to this day, it’s hard going to very classy places and making an accident and having everyone not of your skin color judge you. Society think we are up to no good and can’t have success.
