Robert Motley, MSW is the lab Manager at our Race and Opportunity Lab and is currently working on his dissertation focusing on the effect of racism based policing on Black emerging adults 18 to 29 years of age. A collective bargaining agreement is the police union contract that controls how police do their jobs. At Homegrown we are focused on building regional capacity to better serve young Black males in St. Louis. In partnership with St. Louis Area Violence Prevention Commission, we ask for public input on the City police collective bargaining agreement. We believe community voice should be included in the CBA process because it impacts the personal safety of Black people.
