Former Regional Consortium of Higher Education Initiatives for Black Male Success Project Coordinator

Sierra Watson formerly served as the project coordinator for the Regional Consortium of Higher Education Initiatives for Black Male Success and was a Graduate Research Assistant at the Race and Opportunity Lab.

Sierra is pursuing a Master of Art in Education and Master of Social Work from Washington University. Her previous work as a substitute teacher exposed her to the many problems urban youth in St. Louis experience. Upon graduation, Sierra seeks to obtain a school leadership position that focuses on bridging educational achievement gaps for minority students. She was born and raised in North St. Louis City, where she currently resides to this day. Her professional and volunteer work includes serving youth in schools, detention centers, residential programs, and urban ministries. She enjoys reading, mentoring, cooking, D.I.Y. projects, and a great Netflix movie.
