Najjuwah Walden, MSW is the HomeGrown STL Community Engagement Coordinator in the Race and Opportunity Lab. Najjuwah received her BA and BS from North Carolina A&T State University where she studied the economic mobility and sexual risk-taking behaviors. Thereafter, she received her MSW from the Brown School where she studied the intersectionality of institutional racism, reproductive health, and geographic displacement. She brings skills in community development, primary and secondary research, geographic information systems, and program coordination to HomeGrown STL. She is also the Founder of Earth and Her Flowers Project which aims to conduct research, develop curriculum, and provide restorative justice to families in African diasporic communities who wish to prevent maternal and infant mortality and morbidities.
