Alex Lipsey was formerly the data manager and a research assistant at the Race and Opportunity lab.
Alex attained his Bachelor of Arts from Lake Forest College where he majored in Psychology and minored in African American Studies. He currently is pursuing his Masters of Social Work degree at Washington University in St. Louis where he is concentrating his focuses in mental health while specializing in policy. His research interests involve the effects of single-parenting in minority families and its associated influences towards the school to prison pipeline currently transpiring within the country. Being a native of St. Louis, he supports the HomeGrownSTL initiative and the idea of increasing support for Black males in the area.
