Danielle Tavasti was a former graduate research assistant at the Race and Opportunity Lab from September – December 2017.
Danielle hails from Los Angeles, California, and is an alumna of the prestigious Posse Scholarship. She graduated from Grinnell College in May 2016 with a bachelor’s in Sociology. During her undergrad experience, Danielle developed a strong passion for advocating that the lives of struggling families and children be met with both community and policy level changes. Danielle is working towards her Master of Social Work at Washington University, with an emphasis on how various policies influence the quality of life for low-income and minority Children, Youth, and Families.
