Former Research Assistant & Missouri Suicide Prevention Coalition Project Coordinator

Cashell Lewis was a research assistant from September 2016 – December 2017. He was also the Project Coordinator for the Missouri Suicide Prevention Coalition.

Cashell graduated with his MSW from the Brown School in December 2017. He received his B.A. in Social Work and Interdisciplinary Studies from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU). As a McNair Scholar at NEIU, Cashell conducted qualitative research focused on examining the experiences of African-American students in a diverse higher education setting identifying barriers as well as interventions to academic success. In his free time, Cashell enjoys listening to music, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
